S7 belongs to the PLC series, which allows users to select its components specifically to best suit their requirements, and is a long-term successor to the successful S5 series. For all operations that S5 can perform, S7 can be completed faster and more easily. The current 3rd generation S7-200 is based on the success of the initial series and uses a new CPU to create a faster and more powerful PLC series. With the introduction of the new 224XP, the available series of CPUs have been expanded, as CPUs have a series of digital, analog, and communication expansion modules. For faster applications, real-time control can be easily achieved using the full range of built-in interrupts. Providing timing, communication, high-speed counter, high-speed pulse output, and hardware interrupt functions, and implementing a priority table means that all interrupts can be executed simultaneously. Built in communication function with S7-200. Communication between PLCs can be achieved through a dual line network of up to 1200m with up to 126 nodes. In free port mode, the RS-485 port of the PLC operates in free ASC11 mode, which allows it to communicate with other devices. Siemens' goal is to make S7-200 programming as user-friendly as possible, and in accordance with this goal, MicroWin programming software has been further improved. These improvements all contribute to reducing program development time. This goal can be achieved by adding more wizards and improving existing ones.
